The very first virtual MAK monthly meeting has just finished.
There were 23 participants and, after an exploratory exchange of news, updates and general banter , and the usual Zoom hiccups as people found their way around unfamiliar territory, the 'meeting' was as follows: 1. A video on the "Ghost Planes in the Arctic"; 2. A mini lecture by Keith on life on the flight deck of Ark Royal as as an aircraft handler 1955-57 by a family member; 3. The Convair F2Y Sea Dart; 4. And finally, he one-third scale Boeing B-17G.
Some of the members appreciated that unlike our conventional, non-social-distanced meetings, the opportunity to partake in otherwise possibly anti-social activities enabled the consumption of alcohol and tobacco products!
If you participated, what did you think? If you missed it, perhaps you might want to join next time?
