The 2022 MKAS PhotoComp had a number of excellent photos of current military aircraft movements into RAF and USAF airfields in the UK. This prompted me to decide to shake off last winter's inertia and get out with the camera and lenses. But here comes the dilemma. Where to go because what could be there? The prospect did not appeal of driving to The Hall and The Heath, or up to Marham, only to find I was the only snapper there because everyone else had heard that anything of interest had gone off to "eastern Europe" the day before.
I must admit I am not a great web enthusiast - except for Flight24 now that the NATS have moved the Luton holding stack north to directly over my house! - and certainly not a Facebook or Twitter follower, so therefore wonder what websites are seriously worth following /subscribing to, to get regular up to date news of prospective military movements and detachments, or of photoshoots such as the Harrier one at Wittering mentioned on Tuesday night. I say miltary, since this is my main interest unless some very special military type is due at a "local" airport (LTN, STN and possibly BHX and EMA).
I have no wish to be inundated with multiple emails a day from some website, rather preferring a small number of sources that I can check into a site to see what might be happening.
Any advice and recommendations would therefore be gratefully received from those more in the know of such matters.

Here is another site to use. I use this site everyday. It even gives you all the Military aircraft . The site is called ADBS.

I would also suggest that if you turn up anything that may be of interest to others - I suspect that tis forum may be a useful place to tell others!

Hi. A bit late to the party but never mind . Thanks for those links, very useful to know - especially as it took me ages to find similar sites for railway working timetables etc! Ralph

Remember - you can always feed information through this Forum (it is a FORUM, after all!).
If you want to pass on relevant stuff to members then this would be the place - it would also help to keep this site alive, perhaps.
There is no current section for this topic, but if demand is there, you can start one (if you can't, contact Admin)
